This group collects Information Technology sector members that design and manufacture networking and telecommunications infrastructure hardware: routers, switches and other enterprise networking equipment, mobile and fixed telecom network infrastructure, optical networking systems, application delivery and network security appliances, and public safety and land mobile radio communications equipment. It is a smaller group than Technology Hardware, Storage and Peripherals in this subcategory, reflecting how few of the sample's networking equipment makers are gathered here rather than under a services or software classification, and it is kept apart from that hardware group, reserved for computers, phones and peripherals rather than network infrastructure equipment.
