This group collects Information Technology sector members whose core business is providing information technology labor, consulting, outsourcing, systems integration, hosting or managed services under contract rather than selling a software product or hardware device of their own: the large multinational IT services and consulting firms, several of India's largest technology services exporters, national and regional systems integrators and value-added resellers, and a handful of internet service providers, web hosting and domain registration companies whose service is delivered technology infrastructure rather than a packaged product. This group is kept apart from Software, reserved for companies that develop and license a software product, even where, as with several of the largest diversified technology companies gathered here, the same company's history also touches hardware or software.
