Tokyo Electron Limited, known as TEL, is a Japanese electronics and semiconductor company headquartered in Akasaka, Minato, Tokyo. Founded in 1963 as Tokyo Electron Laboratories, Inc., it is a major supplier of equipment used to fabricate integrated circuits, flat panel displays, and photovoltaic cells. As of 2024 Tokyo Electron had a market capitalization of about 114.6 billion US dollars, making it the third most valuable company in Japan by market capitalization.
