Micron Technology, Inc. is an American semiconductor company headquartered in Boise, Idaho, founded in 1978 by brothers Ward and Joe Parkinson along with Dennis Wilson and Doug Pitman as a semiconductor design consulting firm. It grew into one of the world's largest makers of memory and storage chips, producing DRAM and NAND flash memory used in personal computers, mobile devices, data centers and a wide range of electronics, and sells consumer storage products under its Crucial brand.
