Coherent Corp.

Coherent Corp., formerly II-VI Incorporated, is an American manufacturer of optical materials and semiconductors, founded in 1971 by Carl Johnson and James Hawkey and headquartered in Saxonburg, Pennsylvania. In 2022 II-VI completed its acquisition of the laser manufacturer Coherent, Inc. and adopted that name for the combined company, which trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol COHR as part of the S&P 500.
