Waymo LLC is an American autonomous-driving technology company headquartered in Mountain View, California, spun out in 2016 from the self-driving car project Google began in 2009. It operates the Waymo Driver software and sensor system and runs a commercial robotaxi service, Waymo One, in several US cities, and is a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc.
