Rapido is an Indian ride-hailing company, headquartered in Bengaluru, that operates primarily as a bike taxi aggregator alongside auto rickshaw and taxi hailing, parcel delivery and logistics services. It was founded in 2015 under the name theKarrier by Aravind Sanka, Pavan Guntupalli and SR Rishikesh, and by 2022 operated in more than 100 cities across India. In September 2024 Rapido reached unicorn status after raising 200 million dollars at a valuation of 1.1 billion dollars, and it reported revenue of about 648 crore rupees, roughly 68 million dollars, for the 2024 fiscal year. The company has faced legal challenges in jurisdictions where bike taxis are not permitted, including a 2019 ban on its Tamil Nadu operations by the Madras High Court.
