Red Nacional de los Ferrocarriles Españoles

Red Nacional de los Ferrocarriles Españoles, known by its acronym RENFE, was a Spanish state owned company that operated the country's national Iberian gauge railway network from 1941 until 2005. For more than six decades it held an exclusive monopoly over the transport of passengers and goods on its lines and over management of the network's infrastructure.
