Wolters Kluwer N.V.

Wolters Kluwer N.V. is a Dutch multinational company that provides information, software and services for accountants, doctors, lawyers and other professionals across the legal, business, tax, accounting, finance, audit, risk, compliance and healthcare sectors, with products including UpToDate, CCH, Enablon, CT Corporation, Lippincott and Tagetik. It traces its roots to 1836, when Jan-Berend Wolters founded a schoolbook publisher in Groningen; the Noordhoff publishing house joined in 1858 and the two merged in 1968. The modern company formed in 1987 when Kluwer merged with Wolters-Samsom to prevent a takeover by Elsevier, creating what was then the second largest Dutch publishing house. It is headquartered in Alphen aan den Rijn, Netherlands, and as of 2025 generated 6.1 billion euros in revenue with about 21,100 employees.
