Porter-Cable is an American power tool manufacturer established in 1906 in Syracuse, New York, by R.E. Porter, G.G. Porter and F.E. Cable. The company makes power tools and pneumatic tools and is credited with pioneering the portable belt sander, the helical-drive circular saw and the portable band saw. It now operates as a subsidiary of Stanley Black & Decker, with headquarters in Jackson, Tennessee.
