Festool

Festool is a German manufacturer of high end power tools headquartered in Wendlingen, Germany, known for a system based approach to tool design and an emphasis on dust extraction. It was founded in 1925 by Gottlieb Stoll and Albert Fezer as Fezer & Stoll, later shortened to Festo in 1933, before its power tool division was separated into the independent Festool brand in 2000. The company, which built the world's first portable chainsaw in 1927 and introduced the Domino joiner in 2005, remains privately owned by the family of co-founder Gottlieb Stoll, employing about 3,300 people and generating roughly 340 million euros in revenue as Tooltechnic Systems' power tool brand.
