Southern Railway of British Columbia

The Southern Railway of British Columbia is a Canadian short line freight railway operating in southwestern British Columbia's Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island regions, formed in 1989 after the government of British Columbia sold the railway to the Itel Rail Group in 1988. Its main facility is the port at Annacis Island, handling imported cars and exported forestry products, and the railway operates a fleet of about 2,000 rail cars hauling roughly 65,000 carloads annually while interconnecting with three major Class I railroads.
