South Manchuria Railway, formally the South Manchuria Railway Company, Ltd. and known by the abbreviations Mantetsu or Mantie, was a major Japanese state enterprise that operated railways in northeastern China from 1906 to 1945. Its network centered on the Dalian-Fengtian (Mukden)-Changchun corridor along with several branch lines, and the company ceased operations following Japan's defeat at the end of the Second World War.
