PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), known as KAI, is the main state-owned railway operator of Indonesia, providing intercity passenger service directly. Its subsidiaries provide commuter rail service through KAI Commuter, airport link service through KAI Bandara, freight service through KAI Logistik and infrastructure maintenance through KAI Services, alongside property management through KAI Properti and tourism through KAI Wisata. KAI also indirectly controls the Whoosh high speed rail service through its majority ownership of the state enterprise PT Pilar Sinergi BUMN Indonesia.
