The Columbus and Greenville Railway is a regional American railroad, established in 1974 and beginning operations in 1975 over trackage divested by the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad, that runs 114 miles of standard-gauge line between Columbus and Greenville, Mississippi, with additional trackage to Greenwood and West Point. An earlier company of the same name had operated independently until 1972, when it was purchased by the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. Todays railway, which carries wood and paper products, bricks, plastics, feed grains, steel, biodiesel, cotton and rice, has been owned by Genesee and Wyoming Inc since June 2008 and has run as two separate sections since a 2001 washout severed track between Greenwood and West Point.
