Madarail

Madarail is a Malagasy railway company that holds a twenty five year concession from the government of Madagascar to operate the country's northern national rail line. Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Antananarivo, it began operations in 2003 with a single locomotive before adding Portuguese-built locomotives to its fleet, and as of April 2022 the Malagasy state holds all of the company's shares after its previous private investor withdrew.
