Werksmans Attorneys is a South African law firm founded in 1917 by Nathan Werksman, headquartered in Johannesburg with additional offices in Cape Town and Stellenbosch. It employs more than 200 lawyers and about 410 staff in total, and practices corporate and commercial law, including banking, finance, competition law, labor law, environmental law, intellectual property and mergers and acquisitions. Werksmans was a founding member of Lex Africa in 1993, has been counted among South Africa's Big Five law firms, and is also known for substantial pro bono and public interest work.
