SpaceXAI LLC

SpaceXAI LLC, formerly known as xAI, is an artificial intelligence company headquartered at 1450 Page Mill Road in Stanford Research Park, Palo Alto, California. It was incorporated on March 9, 2023 and publicly announced on July 12, 2023 by Elon Musk together with eleven AI researchers, including Kyle Kosic and Igor Babuschkin. The companys primary product is the Grok family of AI models, covering language processing, image generation and video creation, supported by a data center business built around its Colossus supercomputer cluster. In February 2026 SpaceX acquired xAI in an all-stock transaction, making it a wholly owned subsidiary of SpaceX, and the company was rebranded SpaceXAI in July 2026; in August 2026 it acquired the AI coding assistant company Cursor for 60 billion dollars.
