SpaceX

SpaceX is an American aerospace manufacturer and provider of space transportation, telecommunications and artificial intelligence services, founded by Elon Musk on March 14, 2002 in El Segundo, California. The company is organized into three main business segments: Space, which develops and flies launch vehicles and spacecraft including the Falcon 9, Falcon Heavy and Starship rockets and the Dragon spacecraft used to carry cargo and crew to the International Space Station; Connectivity, which operates the Starlink satellite internet constellation and its military variant Starshield; and AI, conducted through its subsidiary SpaceXAI. SpaceX is credited with major advances in reusable rocket technology, human spaceflight and satellite constellation technology, and it moved its headquarters from Hawthorne, California to Starbase, Texas in 2024.
