Wartsila Oyj Abp

Wartsila is a Finnish company headquartered in Helsinki that manufactures and services power sources and other equipment for the marine and energy markets. Its origins trace to 1834, when authorities approved a sawmill at Tohmajarvi that industrialist Nils Ludvig Arppe later expanded into ironworks, with the company taking its current name in 1898. Wartsila supplies engines, automation and design services for marine vessels and power plants running on gas, multi fuel, liquid fuel and biofuel, operates in about 80 countries, and was named by Time magazine as one of the world 100 most influential companies in 2023.
