The British Four-wheel Drive Tractor Lorry Super Engineering Company

The British Four-wheel Drive Tractor Lorry Super Engineering Company was a vehicle manufacturer based at the Slough Trading Estate in Slough, Berkshire, England, set up in the 1920s by Henry Nyberg and Charles Cleaver as the British subsidiary of the American Four Wheel Drive Auto Company. It built four-wheel-drive rail lorries supplied to railways from 1922, half-tracks for military use in the mid-to-late 1920s, and commercial lorries marketed by 1929. The company ceased independent operation on October 31, 1929, when it merged into a new company, 4-Wheel Drive Motors Limited, formed with the Associated Equipment Company, with the Underground Electric Railways Company of London becoming the major shareholder.
