Generac Holdings Inc.

Generac Holdings Inc., commonly known as Generac, a name derived from combining generating and AC, is an American manufacturer of backup power generation products for residential, light commercial and industrial markets, headquartered in Waukesha, Wisconsin. It was founded by Robert Kern in 1959, and its power systems range in capacity from 800 watts to nine megawatts, distributed through independent dealers, retailers and wholesalers, with manufacturing facilities across several Wisconsin locations including Berlin, Oshkosh, Jefferson, Eagle and Whitewater.
