Sime Darby

Sime Darby, rebranded simply Sime in November 2024, is a Malaysian government-linked conglomerate headquartered in Ara Damansara whose lineage traces to the trading firm Sime, Darby and Co. founded in October 1910, with its present form created by a 2007 merger of the original Sime Darby with the Guthrie and Golden Hope plantation groups. Majority owned by the state investment fund Permodalan Nasional Berhad, the company's industrial and motor divisions, which distribute heavy equipment and motor vehicles, are its main sources of revenue. Sime Darby reported revenue of about 70.1 billion Malaysian ringgit and 29,807 employees in its 2025 financial year.
