PricewaterhouseCoopers, trading as PwC, is a multinational professional services firm headquartered in London, formed in its current shape in 1998 through the merger of Price Waterhouse, established in 1849, and Coopers and Lybrand, established in 1854. It is one of the Big Four accounting firms and, as of 2024, operates in 149 countries with about 370,000 employees, reporting 55.4 billion US dollars in revenue that fiscal year across assurance, tax and legal services, and advisory work. PwC is overseen by PricewaterhouseCoopers International Limited, a private English company that coordinates its member firms across jurisdictions, and provides auditing, consulting, tax advisory and financial services to corporations and governments worldwide.
