Trenes de Buenos Aires

Trenes de Buenos Aires, known as TBA, was a private company established in 1995 following Argentina railway privatization that operated commuter rail services on the broad gauge Sarmiento and Mitre lines serving Buenos Aires. After a train crash at Once Station on February 22, 2012 that killed 51 people and injured hundreds more, the government placed TBA under federal intervention and revoked its concessions to operate the Mitre and Sarmiento lines on May 24, 2012, returning the lines to state control.
