Thomson Reuters Corporation is a Canadian multinational conglomerate focused on providing content driven technology and information services, headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. It was established on April 17, 2008, through the Thomson Corporation's acquisition of the British Reuters Group. The company operates across legal research and publishing, financial and risk data services, tax and accounting solutions, and news operations, and is traded on both the Toronto Stock Exchange and Nasdaq under the ticker symbol TRI. It remains majority owned by the Woodbridge Company, a holding entity for Canada's Thomson family, which controls approximately 67 percent of the corporation.
