NKT A/S

NKT A/S, formerly NKT Holding A/S, is a Danish power cable producer and accessory manufacturer headquartered in Copenhagen, known especially for offshore high voltage direct current cables that connect offshore wind farms to onshore power grids, alongside high voltage power infrastructure and building wiring systems. It was founded in 1891 by Hans Peter Prior under the name Nordisk Elektrisk Ledningstraad og Kabel-Fabrik and adopted its current acronym in 1898. The company operates production facilities in 10 European countries with about 6,000 employees, trades on Nasdaq Copenhagen, and reported revenue of 3.3 billion euros in 2024.
