The Princeton Ice Company built a dam in 1884 on former farmland to produce ice for sale to residents and businesses in Princeton, New Jersey, and was the town's primary ice supplier during the frozen water trade before artificial refrigeration. It added a second dam in 1902 to increase capacity and dissolved itself in 1929 once technological change made the ice trade obsolete.
