Nidec Leroy-Somer is a French electric motor manufacturer headquartered in Angouleme, Charente, established in 1919 by Marcellin Leroy. The company employs roughly 10,000 people across countries including the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, China and India, and became a subsidiary of the Japanese multinational Nidec on 31 January 2017.
