Eaton Corporation plc is a power management company founded in 1911 by Joseph O. Eaton as an axle manufacturer, later renamed Eaton Manufacturing and then Eaton Corporation. It grew into a diversified maker of electrical, hydraulic and aerospace components and systems, moved its legal domicile to Ireland after its 2012 merger with Cooper Industries, and keeps its operational headquarters in Beachwood, Ohio, near Cleveland.
