Air France

Air France is the flag carrier of France, headquartered in Tremblay-en-France near Charles de Gaulle Airport, formed in 1933 through the government-directed merger of several earlier French airlines including Air Orient and Air Union. It co-founded the SkyTeam alliance in 2000 and merged with the Dutch carrier KLM in 2004 to create the Air France-KLM holding company, while continuing to fly under its own separate brand and operate its own hub at Charles de Gaulle. Air France has historically operated an extensive long-haul network to French overseas territories and former French colonial territories across Africa, the Caribbean and Southeast Asia, and it was one of only two airlines, alongside British Airways, to operate the supersonic Concorde in scheduled passenger service.
