Lion Air Group, formally PT Lion Group, is an Indonesian airline holding company headquartered at the Lion Air Tower in Jakarta, founded on November 15, 1999. It controls several Southeast Asian carriers, including Lion Air, Wings Air, Batik Air and Batik Air Malaysia, along with Thai Lion Air, and competes regionally against AirAsia, VietJet Air and Garuda Indonesia while also operating cargo, business jet charter and hotel businesses.
