Air Kiribati is the flag carrier of the Republic of Kiribati, headquartered at Bonriki International Airport on Tarawa. Established in 1995 following the 1996 closure of its predecessor Air Tungaru, it operates scheduled passenger services to twenty atolls spread across 3.5 million square kilometers of ocean, along with regional charter, medical evacuation and search and rescue flights.
