Industrials

Qantas is the flag carrier and largest airline of Australia, headquartered in Mascot near Sydney Airport, founded in 1920 in Winton, Queensland as Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services Limited, from which its name derives as an acronym. It is widely cited as the oldest continuously operating airline in the English-speaking world and among the oldest in the world overall. A founding member of the Oneworld alliance in 1999, Qantas built much of its long-haul identity around the length of the routes required to connect isolated Australia to Europe, Asia and the Americas, and it maintains a long-standing reputation, including in popular culture, for an unusually strong passenger safety record.
