The Wright Company was the commercial aviation business venture of the Wright brothers, established on November 22, 1909, together with several prominent industrialists from New York and Detroit, to capitalize on their invention of the practical airplane. The company kept its headquarters office in New York City and built its factory in Dayton, Ohio, where it produced aircraft such as the Wright Model B. It merged with the Glenn L. Martin Company in 1916, ending its separate existence only seven years after it was founded.
