Safran SA

Safran SA is a French multinational aerospace, defence and security corporation headquartered in Paris, formed in 2005 through the merger of the aircraft engine maker Snecma and the electronics and defence specialist Sagem. The company designs, develops and manufactures commercial and military aircraft engines, including through its long-running CFM International joint venture with GE Aerospace, along with landing gear, aircraft interiors, avionics, and propulsion systems for launch vehicles, spacecraft and missiles. Safran significantly expanded its aerospace equipment activities with the 2018 acquisition of Zodiac Aerospace, a maker of aircraft seating, cabin interiors and other equipment.
