The Nakajima Aircraft Company was a prominent Japanese aircraft and aviation engine manufacturer throughout the Second World War, founded in Tokyo by Chikuhei Nakajima in 1918. It continues as the car and aircraft manufacturer Subaru Corporation. Among its aircraft was the Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa, a fighter of the Imperial Japanese Army. Its Japanese name was Nakajima Hikoki Kabushiki Kaisha. The company ceased to exist under that name in 1945.
