The Groupe Latécoère is an aircraft company based in Toulouse, France, founded by the aeronautics pioneer Pierre-Georges Latécoère in 1917. In its first few decades the company became well known for its range of seaplanes, such as the six-engined Latécoère 631. It presently operates as a major supplier of aerostructures, producing sections of fuselage and doors, and through its Latelec subsidiary it is the second-largest European supplier of onboard electrical wire harnesses and avionics bays. It participates in all segments of aeronautics, working with Airbus and Boeing on commercial airliners, Embraer and Bombardier on regional aircraft, Dassault Aviation on business aircraft, and Dassault and Airbus on military aircraft.
