Bombardier Inc. is a Canadian manufacturer of business jets headquartered in Montreal, founded in 1942 in Valcourt by Joseph-Armand Bombardier to market his snowmobiles. It later diversified into public transit vehicles, commercial jets and railway equipment, becoming a leading North American producer of railway vehicles, before financial strain from its CSeries aircraft program pushed it, by 2015, to sell nearly all its operations except business jet manufacturing, the corporate jet business on which it remains focused today.
