This group collects Health Care sector members whose core business is health insurance and managed care: the large national health insurers, government-program-focused managed care companies administering Medicaid and Medicare plans, and a subscription-based managed healthcare model gathered here on its own description as a managed care business. It is a smaller group than Health Care Providers and Services in this subcategory, since most of the sample's companies deliver or distribute care directly rather than insure it, and it is kept apart from that group, reserved for hospital operators, distributors and other care-delivery businesses rather than insurers.
