ICON plc

ICON plc is an Irish clinical research organization headquartered in Dublin, one of the largest contract research companies serving the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. It was founded in 1990 to provide outsourced clinical trial management services, allowing drug developers to run trials without maintaining all of that capability in house. ICON designs and manages clinical trials on behalf of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies across all phases of drug development, handling functions such as trial site coordination, patient recruitment, data management, and regulatory submissions, and it has grown into a global operation running trials across many countries.
