Danske Bank A/S

Danske Bank A/S is a Danish multinational banking and financial services corporation headquartered in Copenhagen, the largest bank in Denmark and a major retail bank across the northern European region with more than five million retail customers. It was founded on October 5, 1871 under the name Den Danske Landmandsbank, Hypothek- og Vexelbank i Kjobenhavn, operated for over a century as Landmandsbanken, was renamed Den Danske Bank in 1976, and adopted its current simplified name in 2000. The bank provides banking, insurance and investment management services across the Nordic region and Northern Ireland, and it is listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen under the ticker DANSKE with significant operations in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.
