Xapo Bank is a Gibraltar based private financial institution offering cryptocurrency and traditional banking services worldwide, including Bitcoin and United States dollar accounts, debit cards and, in Europe since 2023, stock market trading. It was founded in March 2014 by entrepreneur Wences Casares, who built the company out of his own need for a secure way to store Bitcoin before friends and institutional investors asked for the same service, which grew it into a licensed virtual asset and banking platform.
