LGT Group is a private banking and asset management group based in Vaduz, Liechtenstein, serving private and institutional clients worldwide. It traces its founding to 1920, when the Bank of Liechtenstein Aktiengesellschaft was established on the initiative of the Princely House of Liechtenstein together with industrialists and financiers, beginning operations in 1921 with ten employees. The group has been fully controlled by the Liechtenstein princely family for more than ninety years, held through the LGT Group Foundation. As of December 2024 LGT managed CHF 386.1 billion in assets and employed roughly 6,000 staff across more than 40 locations in Europe, Asia, the Americas, Australia and the Middle East, offering private banking, wealth and asset management, private equity, real estate financing and impact investing.
