Flagstar Bank

Flagstar Bank, N.A. is an American regional financial services holding company headquartered in Hicksville, New York, tracing its history to Queens County Savings Bank, founded on April 14, 1859, in Flushing, Queens. New York Community Bancorp acquired Flagstar Bancorp in December 2022 and rebranded all operations under the Flagstar name in February 2024, then renamed the parent holding company itself Flagstar Financial in October 2024 before reorganizing it as Flagstar Bank, N.A. in October 2025. The bank operates 345 branches with roughly 100 billion dollars in total assets and nearly 7,000 employees as of 2024.
