Ovintiv Inc. is an American hydrocarbon exploration company headquartered in Denver, Colorado. The company was previously known as Encana, a Canadian company, which restructured in 2020 from a Canada-domiciled company to a United States-domiciled company and adopted the Ovintiv name. Ovintiv's operations are concentrated mainly in the Permian Basin in the United States and in the Montney Formation in Canada, where it holds a partnership with Mitsubishi.
