Baker Hughes Company is an American oilfield services and energy technology company headquartered in Houston, Texas, formed from the 1987 merger of Baker International and Hughes Tool Company. It later combined with General Electric's oil and gas business in 2017 before General Electric divested its stake and the company took its current name in 2019, and it supplies equipment and services used in oil and gas drilling, production and, increasingly, lower-carbon energy technologies.
