Repsol S.A.

Repsol S.A. is a Spanish multinational energy and petrochemical company headquartered in Madrid, active in oil and gas exploration and production, refining, chemicals, and increasingly low-carbon and renewable power generation. It was formed in 1987 through the restructuring of Spain's state hydrocarbon holdings under the Instituto Nacional de Hidrocarburos, and was fully privatized through a series of share offerings during the 1990s. Repsol operates refineries and retail fuel networks across Spain and Latin America and has expanded into wind and solar generation as part of a stated transition strategy. It is one of Spain's largest companies and a major integrated energy operator in the Spanish-speaking world.
