Kinder Morgan, Inc. is an American energy infrastructure company headquartered in Houston, Texas, founded in 1997 by Richard Kinder and Bill Morgan when they purchased a small pipeline business from Enron. It grew, largely through acquisitions, into one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America, operating an extensive network of pipelines and terminals that transport and store natural gas, petroleum products, crude oil and other products.
