Saudi Aramco

Energy

Saudi Aramco, which presents itself as Aramco, is a Saudi Arabian integrated energy and chemicals company. It describes itself as one of the world's largest integrated oil and gas companies, working across the hydrocarbon chain from exploration and production upstream to refining and petrochemicals downstream. In 2026 the company marked its ninety-third year of exploration, discovery and innovation, which stems from its long-term role as caretaker of the hydrocarbon resources of Saudi Arabia, where it states a reserves base of 247.2 billion barrels of oil. It reports a workforce of more than 76,000 people, operations in more than 50 countries through affiliates, subsidiaries and joint ventures, and a petrochemicals production capacity of 59.3 million tons a year in 2025, helped by its 70 percent stake in the chemicals group SABIC.
